At Cumulus Engineering, we deliver innovative water management solutions that build community resilience, protect the environment, and support the transition to cleaner energy. Cumulus Engineering was founded in 2022 and is wholly owned and operated by Directors Julian Skipworth and Sarah Hollis who between them have more than 20 years experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, floodplain management and urban flood mapping.

Julian Skipworth
Director | Principal Engineer
Julian is a Chartered Environmental Engineer with over 13 years experience in floodplain management, flood modelling, hydrology and project management and is passionate about making his client's lives easier and delivering practical and timely engineering solutions.
Sarah Hollis
Director | Senior Engineer
Sarah has over 7 years industry experience and is highly skilled at technical modelling. Sarah enjoys collaborating with clients, community and other industry practitioners not only to achieve better outcomes but to create a greater understanding of surface water modelling and water management.
Michael Nixon
Project Engineer
Michael has supported our team for over 3 years, initially as an undergraduate. Michael has since graduated with a Masters in Environmental Engineering and has recently been promoted to a Project Engineer role. Michael is a skilled hydrologic and hydraulic modeler and is also a keen Python enthusiast.
